On this guided tour, we will seek out works of art that shape the cityscape yet are often overlooked. Art not only adorns buildings, but also helps us to understand how the city was conceived, perceived and built.
With a particular focus on the architecture-related art of the GDR, we will walk with art historian Edouard Compere from the Marx-Engels-Forum towards Petriplatz, covering a period from 1956 to the present day.
