Performance: WHICH WITCH?! with Judith Kohlen, Linda Schnackenberg | ZK/U

A performance exploring the witch as an icon of resistance, FLINTA* struggles and remembrance, bridging the gap between persecution and the present day.

10. May 2026

17:00h-17:30h

ZK/U
Siemensstraße 27, 10551 Berlin

‘WHICH WITCH?!’ uses a performance incorporating digital elements to explore the witch as a contemporary icon of autonomy, resistance and sisterhood – a figure who has evolved from a historically persecuted individual into a global symbol for FLINTA* struggles. The slogan “We are the grandchildren of the witches you couldn’t burn” links personal bodily histories with collective rebellion.
The era of witch hunts is a dark chapter in history and continues to cast a shadow internationally into the present day. But where are the monuments? Where are the memorials? Through our performance, we shed light on this chapter and connect it to our present. Who were the people condemned as “witches”? What were the reasons for their condemnation? And what does this have to do with our present day? An attempt to outline the theme of the “witch” as an icon through striking imagery and media elements. Which witch? That is the question!
