15:00-16:30h

Calisthenics Park – Körperkraftpark am Poststadion
Lehrter Str. 59
10557 Berlin

Workout like FLINTA* – Werk like Drag is a sports-based artistic intervention in public calisthenics parks in Berlin, led by drag artists. Calisthenics parks are spaces traditionally perceived as masculine, competitive, and performance-oriented. As part of this intervention, the park becomes a place where the boundaries between sport and art, as well as between discipline and play, overlap and dissolve. The drag artists lead the training and expand it beyond functional exercises. Through lip-sync performances, dance, games, and humor, the space is opened up to diverse forms of expression.
For the MOWE Festival, the drag artists pay homage to their pop star, cartoon, or fictional icons, whom they embody and perform as during the festival.
The audience is invited to show up in drag or simply come as they are.
The event is open to everyone; no prior athletic experience is required.

About the Artists

Vitalyk & Frau Gymnastik are an artistic duo who playfully explore gender roles and stereotypes. The House of Post-Binary brings together a variety of drag personalities: Lolly Pony is a drag creature and shape-shifter who transforms from a unicorn into a hot dyke, spreading love and glitter throughout the world. Dykeotomy is a hopelessly romantic butch drag character who is always ready to take the stage to express her love for lesbians and her resistance to the cis system. And when it comes to protein or explanations, Greg the Griller is ready—strong but not necessarily smart, yet all the more motivated to become your perfect workout buddy.
